The Apple Watch might just be the world's next fashion craze. In a survey conducted by retail research company First Insight, the pioneer entry of the Cupertino-based company to the wearable showground acquired a thumbs up from individuals inclined to the fashion and style industry.

"We were very surprised to find that women not only loved the Apple Watch — they were actually willing to pay nearly $50 more than market price for the Apple watch when buying it for themselves," First Insight Chief Marketing officer Jim Shea shared to Mashable.

"[It] appears Apple has an opportunity to create a smartwatch specifically designed to appeal to women, and charge even more for it," he added.

Apple has made every effort to make the ultramodern-looking timepiece into a fashion accessory and Mashable stated that the titanic company's hard work paid off big time. As part of the promotion, the Apple Watch appeared on the cover of Vogue China. It was worn by a popular model on the front page of the highly-acclaimed fashion magazine. Several pages were also dedicated to the timepiece as Apple Chief Designer Jony Ive related the work and concept behind the upcoming smartwatch. In addition, Ive along with designer Marc Newson also treated Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour and designer Karl Lagerfeld to an Apple Watch demo in a special event in Paris.

The Apple Watch will be launched in early 2015 and Slash Gear believes that Apple will break new ground in the wearable field with its much-awaited arrival, basing its claim on the recurrent success of iPhone offerings and greater competition in the digital turf. Citing analysts from Morgan Stanley as sources, Mac World revealed that the company is planning to sell out 30 million units on its first year.

The Apple Watch will come in three editions namely Apple Watch, Sport and the Edition. The pricing starts at $349, with the third (with its 18K gold finish) being the most expensive.
