iOS 8.2 release date March 9? iOS 8.3 rumored to follow shortly

Apple iOS 8 Apple

Apple is preparing for new iOS updates, one of which is believed to be launched during Apple's Spring Forward event on March 9.

Beta 5 for iOS 8.2 was already deployed at the start of last month. Folks at Apple have been working on the software since November. All betas of the update were set out as well, so it seems that iOS 8.2 is good to go and it is likely that on Monday, the latest build of the mobile operating system would be around.

Apart from putting forward support for the Apple Watch, iOS 8.2 can handle the tech firm's CarPlay, eliminating the annoying non-functional dialog box that shows up when users connect their iPhones to the program. In addition, users are excited to see a brand new design for the emoji keyboard. Apple has made the background of the emoji keyboard transparent. It will also be easier for users to scroll through the bunch of emoji icons, which will also be increased when the update comes out.

Shortly after iOS 8.2 makes it out the door, iOS 8.3 will reportedly emerge to take the lead. The newer build is currently being sharpened up, with the second of its four beta releases already on the move. As expected though, there are still bugs and issues plaguing the update. But with beta 2 currently being tried out by developers, GSM Arena reckons that it is only a matter of time before all betas will be out. The site surmises that the final iOS 8.3 build is likely to launch during the first moments the Apple Watch reaches the market.

The Apple Watch will be released in April. The Cupertino giant is expected to drop more details such as pricing and features about its much-awaited wearable offering during the upcoming Spring Forward event, along with a wealth of new information about other products it is working on.
