The Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update has finally arrived to Verizon subscribers who own the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 LTE.

The much awaited Android update should be good news, something that has been long awaited which will now provide users a feel of the new features that everyone is talking about.

The latest update is T707VVRU1BOD4, an update that is about 1GB. Hence, before proceeding to update to the Android 5.0.2, it would be wise to see if you have ample storage space to accommodate it first.

Among the features that the Android 5.0.2 brings include the new interface with the Material Design elements. This means folks will get a chance to see the new animations and colors that will deliver a new feel and overall user interface to Verizon subscribers.

And of course, expect a lot of the bugs related to the previous Android version to be fixed as well, not to mention an improved performance for the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 LTE.

Assuming you have properly checked if you have the proper space to accommodate the update, some other things to consider include a stable and reliable WiFi connection and making sure that your device is properly charged (50%) before proceeding.

And while the coming of the Android 5.0.2 should provide a big sigh of relief, the next question is when Android 5.1 Lollipop would be released.

Verizon's knack of being tardy when it comes to releasing updates is no surprise so the answer to that may be unknown for now.

With this news, the availability of the Android 5.0.2 could be bitter sweet but at least some of the bugs will have properly been addressed.

To find out if the update is already available, simply head to your tablet's Settings, About Device and Software Update and check for updates to determine if the Android 5.0.2 can be applied already.
