Google recently released a couple of 5.0.2 factory images, and now it looks like two variants will be getting an OS update any time soon. The images of the update can be found here.

The handsets in particular are the HSPA+ Nexus 7 and the LTE Nexus 7 which, according to Google, will be upgraded to Android Lollipop 5.0.2.

Both devices mentioned are actually manufactured by Asus and have been late when it comes to operating system updates. With regards to other models, the Nexus 7, Nexus 5, and Nexus 6 and some other Nexus devices have already gotten the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop last December.

There is no official word though on when the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update would actually be made available but it should be available by OTA at anytime so users are advised to monitor their devices for alerts regarding the OS updater.

As for other devices like the Nexus 5 and the Nexus 4, there is no word on when these devices would be getting their updates. But such delays could be good for the time being after some users have complained about issues tied up with the latest Android 5.0 roll out.

Per some users, the latest update has rendered problems on sound, Google Play search, battery life and rebooting.
