"Alien:Isolation" is set to be released on Oct. 7, and fans who are looking forward to the first-person game can treat themselves to a series of "horrifying" trailers that can be seen online. Sega and The Creative Assembly wanted to create more hype by invoking fear prior to the game's release, and they have come up with a set of "Alien: Isolation" game trailers with the hashtag "#HowWillYouSurvive."
The first set of videos shows "There's No Escape" and "Don't Shoot," while the two new trailers are named "Misdirection" and "Nowhere Safe."
"There's No Escape" highlights how the players can actually die horribly and surprisingly in the game. The player in the trailer supposedly runs from an enemy and, before he knows it, gets stabbed in the back by an alien.
The aptly named "Don't Shoot" warns players to be careful in using a gun in the game, or else they'll attract an enemy. The "Misdirection" trailer, on the other hand, shows how the Noisemaker can draw the alien enemy's attention from the players, and how fast they can still be discovered as well.
Lastly, the "Nowhere Safe" trailer proves that players need to be keen in terms of strategy and tactics if they want to survive in the game.
The first-person survival horror stealth game, patterned after Ridley Scott's 1979 horror film "Aliens," is set in the futuristic era of 2137, in a world of constant dread and danger. It takes place fifteen years after the events in "Alien," and follows the character of Ellen Ripley's daughter, Amanda, as she treads in a world full of horror and aliens to find the truth behind her mother's disappearance.
Meanwhile, "Alien:Isolation" is already available for pre-purchase on Steam for roughly $28, while the "Alien: Isolation Digital Deluxe Edition" is priced at $38.
"Alien: Isolation" is expected to launch on Tuesday, Oct. 7, for different gaming consoles including PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.
