The Xiaomi Mi Note Pro is undoubtedly one of the devices the tech community is both patiently and impatiently waiting for. The phablet from the Chinese manufacturer was announced back in January but it is only recently that the high-grade device resurfaced again.

By posting a video on his Weibo account, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun himself revealed that the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro will be available for pre-order on May 6. However, he did not mention whether or not Xiaomi will ship the units right away.

The date is weeks away and many are raring to get a unit for themselves because of its affordability on top of its high-end specs. As a first, the 5.7-inch Quad HD device is caked with glass and metal, but it is even more imposing on the inside.

The Mi Note Pro houses a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, many tech firm's go-to for their respective flagships. The long-awaited phablet comes with a hefty 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage, which should make it a high-speed mobile companion. Furthermore, it features a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, which is complemented by a 4-megapixel shooter on the front. Users can take great-looking selfies as well as capture candid and important moments with ease with this combo.

Also, to enjoy the Mi Note Pro fully, Xiaomi packed it with a 3000 mAh battery unit. Cat.9 LTE is in place so users will be able to download as fast as 450 Mbps. Android 5.0 Lollipop should make it look better while the Hi-Fi audio chip is set to take care of the immaculate audio experience.

Users in China will be able to pre-order the handset, which comes with a special Bamboo Natural edition, for only CNY 3299. That is around $532, which is, as expected, pocket-friendly.

Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Mi Note Black Edition will also be launched in China on April 21. Dipped in black and with Jason Zhang's album, the 16 GB model has a CNY 2299 price tag while the 32 GB version costs CNY 2799.
