WWE Royal Rumble 2015 date, rumors: John Cena vs Rusev feud after the Rumble on Jan. 25?

It is a match that has been on the rumor mill for quite some time now but from the looks of it, it may very well be good and done. And all of it may very well start come the Royal Rumble which is close to a week away.

As you know, John Cena is in a triple threat match against Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins. And if this is true, the most likely turnout is that Cena will not end up being the champion after the 2015 Royal Rumble heavyweight title match. Seth Rollins or Brock Lesnar? That remains to be seen.

Then again if you think of it, Rusev could have a hand in the match for some reason. Perhaps ally with Rollins which in return draws Cena's ire? If so, the feud begins!

Such a scenario brings back memories of Cena's feud with Bray Wyatt in 2014. With Rusev however, at stake is his undefeated streak which could pretty much be the intent with this storyline with John Cena. Hence, expect that feud to carry over all the way to Wrestlemania 31.

Like it or not, this seems to be the path the WWE is taking after the Rumble and into Wrestlemania. So don't expect Cena to be in any title match by then, sparking another guessing game on what the main card would be for the WWE's annual grand event.

Could this development in a way affect rumors about Sheamus' returning as a heel? Though it wasn't mentioned exactly that he would be feuding with the 16-time champion, it seems like a logical storyline considering that both were supposed to team up during the last Survivor Series. If not Cena, who would Sheamus target? Dolph Ziggler? Guess on!
