'WWE 2K16' news: Video leak confirms Stone Cold inclusion

"WWE 2K16" is touted to be the best in its lineup and some seasoned wrestling fans believe it is because of the rumored development of a mode centered on Stone Cold Steve Austin. The inclusion of the legendary fighter was heavily rumored and new leaked videos are making it more real.

Just recently, two clips of Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross recording commentaries on a match between Stone Cold and Shawn Michaels were leaked and passed around. The behind-the-scenes footages are enough to convince gamers that Stone Cold will have a big slice of "WWE 2K16."

Dissecting the clips, media outlets claim that the match in question is either the WWF Raw Is War Tag Team match of Shawn Michaels and Stone Cold Steve Austin against the Legion of Doom, or the King of the Ring match in which the first two wrestlers met head to head. Both throwdowns happened in 1997.

Even before the videos surfaced, Lawler has already revealed that Austin will be in "WWE 2K16" and that the commentator is bound to team up with his commentating partner once more.

"We're already working on that. A lot of people ask about my old broadcast partner. They're having in this year's game, a big Stone Cold Steve Austin Attitude Era section and they have me and J.R. back together again in the studio doing voice-overs for that." Lawler was quoted as saying.

It isn't clear if the Stone Cold-centric mode of "WWE 2K16" will bring together all the wrestling champion's biggest rivals or his most glorious matches. What's known is that gamers will see some beer smashing and the iconic Stone Cold stunner in the upcoming game.

"WWE 2K16" is currently in development by 2K Sports and is expected to showcase even more realistic versions of the wrestlers when it is released on Oct. 27 for all consoles.
