'WWE 2K15' new patch, updates for game won't be released by 2K Games

Now that 2K Games is focusing its energy fully on "building for the future," players of "WWE 2K15" will no longer receive patches or updates for the virtual wrestling title. The announcement came from WWE Games Community Manager Marcus Stephenson, who apologized for informing gamers behindhand.

Although he basically said that the highly-anticipated and the much-needed patch 1.06 and 1.07 will never arrive, he promised that "all feedback in this [patch 1.05] thread and on this [official 2K] forum will be taken into account in the building process," which is presumed to be referring to the next iteration of its widely popular wrestling simulation video game, "WWE 2K16."

This also means that the patch released last March 30 serves as the final patch for "WWE 2K15." Every single expansion pack has been released as well so there won't be any more DLCs for the video game.

Stephenson ended the post by giving his word that the video game series will only get better from here.

"We have a lot to do and prove to you — thanks for sticking with us! We'll begin to show you the steps we're taking towards building the game/franchise that we all want," he promised.

Those who experience issues or those who have concerns with the game are simply advised to contact 2K Support. For problems native to "WWE 2K15," especially on the PC, there are some things players can do that might get it going again without the need for a patch or an update.

Those who experience slow motion during gameplay usually have the integrated graphics card to blame. Gamers are reminded that playing immaculately on a laptop or desktop requires a powerful arsenal — an Nvidia GeForce GTX 570 or an AMD Radeon HD 5770, respectively. Updated drivers will solve this and another issue that crashes the game after Superstar Selection.

When "WWE 2K15" starts to lag, players can try disabling the special effects or reducing the mouse speed or camera speed. Changing the resolution from 1080p to 720p might work, too. When the game just doesn't respond, they can check the Steam cache. For other problems and solutions, visit Gamepur.com's guide.
