WWE rumors: Brock Lesnar vs. Randy Orton to have showdown at Summer Slam 2015?

The WWE Universe is still eagerly awaiting the return of the Viper, Randy Orton, but this early on there are a lot of rumors going around on what will happen once he does spring back into action. And among them include a much delayed showdown with current WWE champion Brock Lesnar.

But of course, there are a lot of things that need to be ironed out before all that could happen. One is that Brock Lesnar resigns with the WWE and the other is that all would depend on what storyline Orton will be returning to.

As it stands now, WWE fans are speculating that Orton would be returning but to settle an old score with Seth Rollins, the same man who instigated the beating that the former heavyweight champion suffered the last time we saw him. Of course, Orton took a leave from the WWE since he had a role in a film but just the same, the heat between him and Rollins (or is it the Authority?) is far from over.

So while many expect this to be among the revived storylines, it remains to be seen how it will all evolve into a meeting with the Beast. At the moment, Lesnar is involved in a storyline with Roman Reigns although all that could change if Reigns falls to Daniel Bryan.

To recall, the WWE fans took exception when Reigns came out as the winner of the 2015 Royal Rumble. With the hopes of trying to rebuild fan trust, the WWE is still trying to maneuver itself to make the Lesnar-Reigns angle works out. Hence, a lot would depend on how the matches turn out in the next PPV.

Going back to a potential Lesnar-Orton match, this could happen in SummerSlam in August. But this is if Lesnar does resign and he does not take his own sweet time making rare appearances in the WWE.

For the meantime, Orton has to return and soon. It is believed that Orton will be back in the coming live events where he is expected to come face-to-face with Seth Rollins. A potential match for Fast Lane? How about Wrestlemania? Let us wait and see.
