The most recent update for "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" is its patch 1.07 which rolled out last month. However, it seems that developer CD Projekt Red still has much in store for players as it has been confirmed that another, newer update for the massive exploration and role-playing game is scheduled to roll out soon.

Although the announcement on the developer's official forum does not include a specific release date, CD Projekt Red did list out key changes that will be introduced with the scheduled patch 1.08 update.

According to Marcin Momot, Community Lead & Website Coordinator at CD Projekt Red, the update will again focus on improvements to performance, title design particularly the UI, and upgraded gameplay. Patch 1.08 targets much better performance and bug fixes, particularly those glitches that cropped up after patch 1.07. However, the most notable update that will come with the upcoming patch is an item, the Wolven Hour potion.

When CD Projekt Red rolled out patch 1.07, many players complained that some of their most treasured gears were deemed unusable when the update was released. This is because the current patch has raised the level requirements for characters and item and gear combinations.

In the upcoming patch, players who will use the Wolven Hour potion will have the gear levels reverted for an hour, giving players enough time to level up and match their gear level requirements, or find other items that will match their current levels. The Wolven Hour potion will automatically be added to every player's inventory when patch 1.08 rolls out.

Aside from adding a new item, gameplay fixes will also be introduced, particularly for glitches in-game such as frame freezes during transitions, inappropriate mini-map interiors, and other noticeable glitches. In addition, the gameplay fixes will also prepare "The Witcher 3" base game for the upcoming New Game+ feature.
