Yet again, Microsoft is coming out with another operating system. Now on that note, you have to wonder, will it be better or another dud?
There is no doubt that Microsoft has succeeded and failed at times to offer the consumers a reliable and suitable operating system for their daily computing needs. There have been releases like the Vista and the Window 7 which have failed to live up to expectations, lessons which will hopefully make the upcoming Windows 10 a whole lot better.
So what is in store for the consumers? Well there have been various speculations on what to expect, in fact a lot.
And perhaps it is best to look at the look for starters. The Windows 10 will come with a cohesive design that should make it flexible enough for use with all kinds of gadgets in use to date. That includes the usual workstation, mobile phones and tablets.
Another thing to watch out for is the Continuum mode. Probably something Windows 8 users will rave about, this is a feature meant to address concerns about people using the OS in between desktops and tablet modes.
Then there will also be a new browser to look forward to. Internet Explorer will still be around but a new browser will be included. The said browser is codenamed Spartan. Sources say that the new browser will somehow be similar to Google Chrome or Firefox.
Cortana is Microsoft's virtual assistant which many may be familiar with if they have used the Windows Phone OS on phones. Well, Cortana will now be available on the desktop version which will take the place of Windows' previous search function. Cortana will work with when a user wants to open an app across other devices like tablets and mobile phones.
After the preview, when will Windows 10 be officially launched? It is believed that Windows 10 will be out by the late summer of 2015 and all that could be confirmed once the Windows 10 Consumer Preview gets underway.
