OSome Studio has finally announced a release date for its forthcoming noir-inspired thriller titled "White Night." The old school survival horror adventure title inspired by the enigma-driven ghost story "Alone in the Dark" is coming to the PS4 ad PC platforms on March 3 this year. "White Night" is also set to arrive on Xbox One on March 6.

The game set in 1930 Boston promises bushels of frightful encounters, and cracking riddles on top of mounting pressure and fear is the only way for players to escape the grasp of darkness, which basically envelops the world over.

Laid down in eerie black and white, "White Night" follows a man marooned in a ghostly derelict mansion after ramming into an accident in the pit of the night. With a faint flashlight to get him by, the man frantically searches for a way out of the manor that blatantly puts its paranormal makings on show.

"We wanted to create something that people would enjoy, but also something that would stand out as unusual and refreshing in today's survival horror landscape," creative director Ronan Coiffec wrote in the PlayStation Blog. "That meant revisiting the themes that made classic horror games like the original Alone in the Dark so gripping: mature storytelling, strong characters, compelling environments and equal respect for tension and terror. White Night is a good old ghost story full of mystery, poetry, alchemy and suspense."

Players will have to solve crazy puzzles with a extremely limited source of light as a companion. The source of light where the players' lives strongly depend upon, unfortunately, is not very abundant in the rundown mansion. On top of the looming darkness, gamers will have to deal with creatures that will pop up here and there to "enlighten the night."

Gamers in the U.K. will be able to download the third-person narrative-driven title for 12 euro starting March 4. Fans would love to see the game in the PS Vita, too.
