What does Jessa Duggar consider as the greatest use for social media? Is it to keep in touch with family and friends? Or is it to gain more knowledge about what is currently happening in the world?

In fact, the answer is neither. Jessa shared a quote by John Piper on her Instagram account (@jessaseewald) that said, "One of the greatest uses of Twitter and Facebook will be to prove at the last day that prayerlessness was not from lack of time."

And Jessa said that the quote applies to Instagram and all other forms of social media too.

She said that it's so easy for people to say that they've been so busy that they do not have time to read the Bible and talk to God through prayer anymore. "However, if we look back over our day, we will most likely find that we did have spare moments here and there but that we gave them away to less important things," she said.

Jessa questioned people about what they do first thing in the morning. Is it to communicate with God and ask for guidance throughout the day, or is it to grab the phone in order to check new emails, text messages, social media notifications, or news alerts? Or do people just jump off the bed without a second thought and fix breakfast for themselves?

The young Mrs. Seewald admitted that she's guilty of doing all those things herself, but it's time that she make time for what's truly important in her life, and that is to improve her relationship with God. And she is encouraging other Christians to do the same thing.

"Open your Bible today! If you don't know where to start, I recommend beginning in the book of John. Make time! Read a chapter each day and ask God to help you learn something!" she said.
