There are reports suggesting that Franky Doyle (Nicole da Silva) has what it takes to step into the late Bea Smith's (Danielle Cormack) shoes in "Wentworth" season 5. However, even her return is being kept secret at the moment.

When asked by Diva Magazine if she will be part of "Wentworth" season 5, da Silva said: "I would get a stern call if I were to confirm or deny that. But I appreciate your tenacity in asking!"

Last time fans saw Franky, she met with her long-lost sister whom his father kept secret from her. She was not in the previous season all that much, and fans are hoping they will see more of her in "Wentworth" season 5.

However, it looks like her return may still be up in the air, which may not be good news to fans of the beloved character. Da Silva says that she is not allowed to say how many episodes she will star in.

This is why the lack of her character in the previous season came as a shock. "I couldn't spoil the show for viewers, so it was a bit of a balance and a juggle dealing with those enquiries," the star said, pertaining to the questions from fans about her absence.

The character of Franky has earned a big following, something that Da Silva is hugely thankful her. Whether or not this will factor in her return in Wentworth" season 5 remains to be seen.

Franky was still in a relationship With Bridget (Libby Tanner) before the character's absence. Da Silva harked back to the time Bridget told Franky to "f--- the labels."

"I love that line... I love that Bridget said that. I thought it was a great moment and I'm so glad that Wentworth went there," the actress said.

"I think it's really important to hear that on Australian television, and I believe it's really representative of where we're at as a global society right now. I think with these ideas surrounding gender fluidity and sexual orientation, it's less about narrowing things down and more about opening things up," she went on to say.

It is unclear if the production for the new season of the drama is already underway, although the show typically starts filming new episodes around this time.

"Wentworth" season 5 is scheduled to premiere next year.
