'Vanderpump Rules' news: Female stars pose nude for PETA ahead of season 6 premiere

Three stars from the reality series "Vanderpump Rules" stripped down for animal rights.

Ariana Madix, Lala Kent, and Scheana Shay have partnered with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) to raise awareness for orcas.

In the ad that reads "Come together to free the orcas from SeaWorld," the three women were seen posing nude, covered only with body paint, the same colors as orcas.

In the promotional video, Madix explains that their mission is to have the orcas residing at SeaWorld be released to seaside sanctuaries.

Kent shares that she became an active animal rights supporter after watching the 2013 documentary "Blackfish." "I found my passion and I found my voice. I will not stop until any place like SeaWorld is completely shut down," she shares.

According to PETA, the orcas at SeaWorld are housed in tiny, concrete tanks, often with incompatible tankmates. The group alleges that this pushes the sea mammals into aggressive behavior like chewing on the metal bars and concrete sides of their tanks, causing them to break their teeth. To solve this, SeaWorld reportedly regularly drugs the orcas to manage stress.

"Orcas have died at SeaWorld, but none of them died from old age and that's just insane," Shay adds in the video.

The animal rights group explains that orcas are among the fastest animals in the sea, swimming as far as 140 miles every day. "But at SeaWorld, they swim in endless circles in small barren concrete tanks," the report continues.

The "Vanderpump Rules" stars continue in the campaign video that putting orcas, very social animals, in a small tub is basically pushing them to "self-destruct." They supported PETA's claims by reiterating that SeaWorld is "torturing" the orcas by confining them in such a small place. They also called out to parents to make their children realize that orcas are better off in their natural habitat.

More can be seen from these girls as "Vanderpump Rules" season 6 premieres Monday, Dec. 4, at 9 p.m. EDT, on Bravo.
