USA vs Germany live stream (Fox Sports 1): Watch international friendly soccer online

The USA will play Germany on Wednesday in an intriguing international friendly that Jurgen Klinsmann will use to measure the progress of his team ahead of some big competitions coming up for Team USA. Today's big game has a start time of 2.45 p.m. ET (7.45 p.m. BST) and can be watched on TV on the Fox Sports 1 channel, or online through live stream via the link below.

The United States will be hoping to build on their extraordinary win over Holland last week in Amsterdam. Not many had predicted that the USA would gain a win against the European giants, however, a late flurry of goals saw them win 4-3 against the men in orange, and they will be hoping to follow that up with an even bigger win today against Germany.

That win will surely have boosted the confidence of Jurgen Klinsmann's team, although they face a very different challenge from their German counterparts today at the RheinEnergieStadion.

These two teams met less than a year ago in Recife, Germany, and in that case the German national team came away with a 1-0 win. Although the scoreline suggested a close game, in reality the German team well outplayed USA, and controlled more than two-thirds of the possession in the game. Team USA also did not even manage a single shot on target as the German defense completely shut down Klinsmann's men going forward.

USA will be hoping to do much better this time around, although they will clearly be big underdogs against the reigning World Cup champions.

Following today's game, the focus for USA will switch to this summer's CONCACAF Gold Cup, which is taking place in the USA this year. With that major competition in mind, Klinsmann has been eager to face off against some of the top teams in the world, and lining up friendlies with Holland and Germany has certainly been that.

Germany are undefeated in five games, and they themselves will be using today's game to prepare for a Euro 2016 qualifier against Gibraltar on Saturday. Germany need some tweaking, and at the moment are struggling a little in their qualification campaign - currently lying second in their Group D behind Poland as they look to qualify for France 2016.

Today's big soccer international friendly between Germany and USA will start at 2.45 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on the Fox Sports 1 channel, or online through live stream by clicking here.
