Details about "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" abound, thanks to Official PlayStation Magazine who got their hands on a demo of the upcoming 2015 action-adventure third-person shooter video game.
Naughty Dog is bringing in sandbox maps to "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End," comparable to that in "Jak 3." The game studio is again getting its hands dirty for what looks to be massive open levels for its upcoming title. Last time it did, the 2004 platform video game was formed. This will ultimately enrich the game's plotline, allowing Naughty Dog to throw in missions and vital story-significant material for players to discover in the game's bigger milieu.
The game studio is also shaping the gameplay for "Uncharted 4" into something much more taxing. Swashbuckling fortune hunter Nathan Drake will be able to wield either a grappling hook or an axe as seen in the PSX conference last year, although clambering cliffs and championing rock faces and boulders should not be as easy as it was in the previous games.
Official PlayStation Magazine also noted that the demo they tried out ran 30 frames per second. Naughty Dog, however, is rendering "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" at 60 frames per second at a 1080p resolution. The developer aims to do that while shying away from compromising its gameplay quality. It goes without saying that this aspect is the primary goal of any game developer.
The game will also allow players to delve further into Nathan Drake's background, what drives him and what he's made of. His long lost brother will be seen in the forthcoming title and it is because of him that the buccaneer will go back to fortune-hunting — something he has previously decided to abandon.
Lastly, "players can expect a dramatic improvement in the game's textures." Naughty Dog has long boasted the graphic boost they are working on for "Uncharted 4" and it is nothing like the previous installments in the franchise.
"Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" will be released this year.
