Tyra Banks and Erik Asla news: Supermodel splits with boyfriend of five years

American Supermodel, Tyra Banks, has broken up with her long-time boyfriend, photographer, Erik Asla. The two share a child together, 1-year-old son, York Banks. Fortunately, the split between Banks and Asla did not have as much friction compared to other ending relationships.

According to Entertainment Tonight, a reliable source had told them about the unfortunate split between Banks and Asla. The source further stated that "there was no drama at all," and that the two remain close friends. They work closely together to make sure that their son, York, is raised well.

At this point, it is difficult to tell and to speculate just how the two will be dealing with York, who is now the main concern since the child is still very young. On top of that, as much as reports have confirmed that Banks is a "hands on mom," it is uncertain what type of role Asla will be playing in raising the child.

Hollywood Life reported that Banks and Asla have moved out of their mansion in Los Angeles after their life-changing decision. Not only will they be working to raise York together, but they will also be working together professionally which is something that most people in the industry find as oftentimes difficult. Asla is one of the photographers in the reality television show "America's Next Top Model."

Page Six reported that the two had already bumped into relationship problems when they had York, which was possible through surrogacy given that Banks had some fertility problems. Asla already has children from his past relationships, one of which is a daughter to whom Banks graciously took on the role of being her stepmother. Asla and Banks have been very private about their relationship since 2013, and it would appear that they are not revealing much about the split as well.
