'True Detective' season 2 episode 6 spoilers: Frank trails a woman with knowledge on Ben Caspere's death, Ani goes on a risky mission to zero in on killer in 'Church in Ruins'

"True Detective" season 2 only has three more episodes left and episode 6 titled "Church in Ruins" draws the group closer to the Ben Caspere's killer. But permeating the territory and getting there in one piece is no easy feat. As declared in the trailer, these guys are worst.

Ani attempts to infiltrate an "exclusive inner circle" in this episode, a mission that is highly dangerous. She isn't allowed to bring phones that she can contact her team with and she definitely can't carry a weapon or she'll blow her cover. Paul and Ray, however, promise to stay as close as they can to make sure that Ani will be the safest she can be during the life-threatening mission.

In the trailer, a bouncer in the location Ani is trying to enter thoroughly searches her to make sure that she won't bring trouble. Another glimpse of her shows that she actually made it in but the look on her face either means she is baffled by what she sees or that the people in there make her uneasy.

The same clip for the upcoming "True Detective" episode also shows Ray and Frank who are seconds away from blowing each other's heads with a bullet. The moment is extremely tense as they sit against each other, with the latter drawing in his gun as the former prepares his to beat him to it.

Meanwhile, in the synopsis for this particular installment, Frank will also be seen searching for a missing woman who has knowledge on Caspere and what led to his demise. The summary stated that he has grown "desperate" in trailing the whole thing. It remains to be seen if his efforts will come to fruition.

"True Detective" season 2 episode 6 "Church in Ruins" brings the group and the followers of the season closer to the truth. The episodes airs July 26 on HBO. Alternatively, it can be watched online through live stream with HBO GO.
