Players who may have been fearful that the personal computer (PC) port of "Tom Clancy's The Division" has been downgraded just so it can appear in line with the console versions, apparently, have nothing to worry about.

In a statement issued to GameSpot, one Ubisoft representative indicated that any notion that the PC port of "Tom Clancy's The Division" has been 'held back' is inaccurate.

The Ubisoft representative added that "The Division's" PC port had been "developed from the ground up," and that they are "confident that players will enjoy the game and the features this version has to offer."

Ubisoft's statement addressing concerns about the PC port of "Tom Clancy's The Division" comes in the wake of one developer's comments about the game being kept "in check with the consoles."

The comments made by the unnamed developer can be heard in a video of a Q&A session he had with Team Epiphany.

During the Q&A session, the developer also mentioned that the PC version of the game had more customization choices than the console ports.

The good news for players is that all ports of "Tom Clancy's The Division" will feature graphical settings that should help make the game's visuals more suitable to their preferences.

In related news, players who want another chance to familiarize themselves with the game ahead of potentially purchasing it can participate in an open beta that is set to start soon.

According to the game's official website, the upcoming open beta will begin on Feb. 18 for Xbox One players, with access being granted to PlayStation 4 and PC players a day later.

The open beta for "Tom Clancy's The Division" will wrap up a few days later on Feb. 21.

The upcoming open beta will feature one additional story mission along with all the other content already made available in the closed beta.

"Tom Clancy's The Division" will be released on March 8.
