'Tom Clancy's The Division' release date at E3 2015? Leaked images and gameplay videos cause racket

Gameplay footage and screenshots of "Tom Clancy's The Division" were leaked recently. Game studio Ubisoft took them down but not quickly enough to prevent fans and gaming outlets from saying something about the quality of what they saw.

The videos of the upcoming open world third-person shooter role-playing video game were surprisingly low in quality, which easily stirred an uproar among gamers raring to get their hands on the title. Ubisoft admitted that the quality of the footage was not up to snuff, and explained that it is because the leaked photos and clips were from an Xbox One pre-alpha test of the game and not of its final build.

In a statement given by Ubisoft to Video Gamer, "These low resolution images and video originate from a pre-alpha test currently organized by the development team to evaluate the server infrastructure in a real world setting. A large portion of the game features have been removed in this build and therefore is not representative of the game's current quality."

In the end, it promised, "The team is focusing on providing the best experience for players, and we can't wait to show you more."

The alleged graphical downgrade upset many gamers, who have already tolerated more waiting when Ubisoft moved the launch of "Tom Clancy's The Division" from 2014 to this year. It felt like their fortitude did not gain them anything whereas the title should be as flawless at it can be with its postponement. Nevertheless, it's good to know that the title is promised to be exceptional.

Regarding the title's release date, the 2015 window is not getting any narrower. But on the bright side, fans may be treated to a bigger foretaste of the game come the Electronics Entertainment Expo 2015, which is scheduled from June 16 to 18 in Los Angeles. "Tom Clancy's The Division" is one of the many titles Ubisoft is cooking up for PS4, Xbox One and PC gamers.
