Tim Tebow to stage 50 proms at churches for special needs adults

Former NFL star Tim Tebow will sponsor 50 proms for people with special needs on February 13.

The endeavor will be made possible by the athlete's nonprofit foundation, and is called "Night to Shine."

The free event includes a limousine ride, hairstyling, makeup application, professional photography, food, and party favours.

"We are so excited to be able to create this opportunity for thousands of people around the country with special needs," Tebow said. "This event perfectly fits our mission to bring faith, hope and love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need."

Tim Tebow Foundation executive director Erik Dellenback hoped the event would be an unforgettable night for the special guests.

"Everyone should have the opportunity to experience a prom where they feel loved and welcomed and we pray this event will positively impact the lives of thousands of people across the country," he told GreenvilleOnline.

The proms will be held in churches across the country, and guest referrals and volunteer opportunities are coordinated through the host church. Churches interested in participating in "Night to Shine" can email Eliza Lewis at eliza@timtebowfoundation.org.
