The NBC drama television series, "This Is Us," released a shocking commercial promotion that was released recently, since it shows a nail biting snippet of the show's protagonist, Jack Pearson, played by Milo Ventimiglia, trapped in a fire while he helps his family escape the raging flames.

In the teaser trailer for the upcoming episode, it can be seen that the aim of the creators is to prepare the audiences and fans for an impending tragedy that is to befall Jack — who is the very well-respected family patriarch in the show. The important elements that are highlighted in the trailer are the fact that nothing is more important than family, but the question is, what will be the overall outcome after Jack attempts to save his family from the fire?

The episode is being promoted as "This Is the episode."

It is set at a very special time slot, which is right after this weekend's National Football League (NFL) Superbowl. Additionally, the episode was shot cinematically with more attention to detail, especially since it is set to reveal just how Jack passes on. This type of cinematography promises that the episode will run similar to that of a big screen flick rather than a television show, which is something very promising for the show's loyal fans.

The special episode was written by the show's original creator Dan Fogelman, which assures that the upcoming episode will indeed be an exceptionial one. On top of that, it will have a longer running time due to the magnitude of the events that will occur. Finally, the mystery of Jack's death will be known to all.

Despite the sad events that are about to transpire, the show's creators are reportedly excited for the big reveal, and the future impact that the episode will have on its fans. It is safe to assume that the fans will not take Jack's death lightly, even if it is an inevitability.

The next episode of "This Is Us" will premiere on Feb. 4, Sunday, at 9 pm EST on NBC.
