The soap opera by CBS, "The Young and the Restless," finds Chelsea, played by Melissa Claire Egan, in a desperate situation due to the disappearance of her baby, Christian, portrayed by Jude and Ozzy McGuigen. Her stressful and busy schedule -- juggling taking care of her personal life and her own work -- is what led to the terrible situation.

In the episode that airs on Wednesday, Jan. 3, fans will bear witness to the debacle of Chelsea in desperate need to find the very young Christian. The events start out when Nick, who is played by Joshua Morrow, needed a baby sitter to take care of Christian while he had to attend to his own busy schedule. He then decides to seek help from Chelsea, who then takes Christian out with her while she goes about her own day-to-day activities.

When Chelsea realizes that taking care of Christian while managing her personal affairs becomes too taxing on her, she attempts to find a sitter on her own -- but unfortunately, is not successful in finding one. Chelsea then decides to take the children, the other one being Connor, to an important business meeting with Lauren, played by Tracey Bregman, wherein they are slated to discuss the exciting expansion of Chelsea's clothing line.

When Chelsea takes the boys to the athletic club, she loses sight of them for a few moments, then suddenly realizes that Christian is missing. This leads her to come clean to Nick, who is naturally infuriated by the situation. Nick then proceeds to berate Chelsea for allowing this to happen. The two draw worst-case-scenario conclusions, and are immediately hit with panic.

Nick and Chelsea eventually calm down, and try to think straight on how to locate Christian. The two are convinced that the disappearance of Christian is caused by a kidnapping -- and if this were the case, this could potentially turn into an intense plot involving the couple.

"The Young and the Restless" airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EST on CBS.
