In a new preview released by CD Projekt Red, many gamers saw for themselves how massive "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" would be. The Polish developer gave gamers the chance to explore Geralt's world in the flesh with a 4-hour hands-on preview of the upcoming installment.

In the preview, gamers were treated to a tutorial on the game mechanics. At the start, Geralt is tasked to find an old friend, and the player's every move in going through the mission is crucial as to how things will turn out for the character.

PlayStation Lifestyle adores how the game's plotline is represented, adding that individuals new to the franchise will not have a hard time understanding what the monster slayer protagonist is up to. However, there are minor issues in terms of visuals ranging from "aliasing" to "unnatural" models in the environment. Also, the site broached the "frustrating" horse travel, making trekking by foot a much appealing means of pushing through the voyage rather than being held up by a small fence or a rock. Metro, on the other hand, noticed that console versions look less pristine than that on the PC. These, however, are likely to be addressed before "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" comes out.

Overall, missions are reportedly a thrill to complete and the game's element taken as a whole would have many fall in love with the game. Battling with enemies, as PlayStation Lifestyle put it, is both "rewarding and well structured." Players can hit the enemy with light or heavy attacks as great as they can evade their foes' assaults.

At the end of the tryout, Metro iterated the installment's potential to be the best game of the year. The site said there are one hundred hours of gameplay to enjoy on "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt," not to mention the vast landscapes and massive landmass to traverse. Pocket-Lint described it to be bigger than "Elder Scrolls Skyrim," which should give everyone an idea how incredibly expansive the upcoming title's world is. Even the character models and the game's background are impressively detailed.
