There are still a couple of weeks left before "The Walking Dead" returns on air. However, this early on, many are already wondering what's going to happen in the second half of season 5, which has been a very awesome ride so far. According to reports, the gang may be headed for a whole new adventure.

AMC has released the trailer for the second-half of the season. The trailer is only a minute long and it doesn't really reveal much except for one important thing: the group is back together and they are, again, running and trying to survive out there. It appears like the group is trying to find a new place where they can stay peacefully.

With regards to the villains, there was really no clue in the trailer. But if one thing is certain, the gang will not have it easy until season 5 ends. Sooner or later, a new villain will arise and the group will fight their way out of danger again. "Surviving, surviving together is all that matters. It's all that matters" is what Rick utters in the trailer. Thus, this could mean a new threat looming.

Meanwhile, previous spoilers have pointed to the return of Morgan. Fans might see him in this half of season 5. Other spoilers also say that Negan will appear and that the gang will make their way to Washington D.C.

A new character will be joining the cast as well. Ross Marquand is officially part of season 5 and will play Aaron, a gay character in the comic book.

Speaking of the character's sexuality, there were talks about Daryl Dixon's sexuality in the past months. Robert Kirkman, show creator, finally set things straight with the character.

"In the letter column of the comic book that I do, I mentioned that there was a possibility early on about making Daryl Dixon's character gay ... It caused quite a hubbub online and I just wanted to clarify that the possibility is there and that I would have been fine with it, the network would have been fine with it, but we ultimately didn't do that. I can make it official: Daryl Dixon is straight," Kirkman confirmed.

"The Walking Dead" season 5B will return on Feb. 8 on AMC. There are eight episodes left this season.
