"The Vampire Diaries" season 7 continues to bring the past back to haunt the heroes. This week's episode titled "I Carry Your Heart with Me," Valerie, who was revealed to be Stefan's first love, brings trouble to Stefan by killing Damon's leverage over Lily – Heretic member Oscar.

The promo for the episode shows that Oscar is definitely dead as Damon comes across his corpse in a closet. Realizing he just lost his chance to get Elena's body back by triggering Lily's wrath by another death in her family, he makes everybody believe that Oscar is alive and well.

As he does, he works on finding a way to really make Oscar all right. From the looks of it, he was able to bring him back to life using the phoenix stone with Alaric and Bonnie's help. In the previous "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 episode, Damon found no use of the stone even after Oscar told him about its importance.

However, Oscar isn't at all normal when he returns from the dead. In fact, he became a zombie, and a ferocious one too. The sneak peek for the episode shows the Heretic attacking a bus full of tourists. He violently throws out the driver, making the sightseers think this is part of a show to scare them.

Meanwhile, Damon's rashness proves a problem to Stefan and Caroline, who are now forced to crash the Whitmore College "Heaven & Hell" Halloween ball to turn the Heretics and Lily's attention away from Damon, who may or may not have already invited a group of Heretics trailing him.

On the other hand, Enzo will be intrigued of Valerie and so he will work on figuring out her secret. Witness how it all goes down in "The Vampire Diaries" season 7 episode 4 "I Carry Your Heart with Me" airing Oct. 29 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
