One of the cast members of the reality television show by Bravo, "The Real Housewives of New Jersey," was faced with loss during the holidays. Elizabeth Spagnola, who is the grandmother of Dolores Catania, passed away at the age of 104 years old. This must be a difficult time for Catania, especially since she is not on good terms with one of her co-stars, Danielle Staub.

The news that grandma Elizabeth passed away was confirmed last week, just a few weeks after her 104th birthday that occurred in November. As reported by Radar Online, Spagnola suffered from a heart attack, which eventually led to her tragic passing. Catania stated that Spagnola had lived through "every war, except the civil war," which illustrates just how full of experience and rich Spagnola's life has been through all these years.

Despite being very old, Spagnola was still very sharp. She even remembered Catania's number by heart, which for her age, is very impressive. Spagnola was born in 1913, and has stated that she has no regrets in her life since she has done everything that she has ever wanted to do.

Catania marveled at her grandmother's age, and even posted on her social media outlets personal tributes to her, and has shown that she clearly adores her. Spagnola has even made appearances in "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" last season, wherein Catania's relationship with her was on display briefly.

At the very least, Spagnola was able to experience one more Christmas just before she passed away, since she died two days after. Clearly, Catania was very close with her grandmother, and their relationship has become truly special for the fans as well.

Catania religiously made Instagram posts expressing to her many fans just how much she loved Spagnola. Just last year in November, Catania stated that Spagnola is one of the most "inspirational and loving people" in her life. In October, Spagnola made an appearance on Catania's Instagram once again, as she urged fans to tune in to the show.
