Filming for "The Originals" season 4 is well underway, and it looks like Hope is becoming more and more involved in the story of the Mikaelsons.
Summer Montana, who will play the kid version of baby Hope in the new season, has been around the set a lot, and she has been hanging out with her onscreen father, Joseph Morgan (who plays Klaus).
The two appear to have become closer as "The Originals" season 4 production continues. Montana appears again on Morgan's Instagram where she interviewed the actor about what he learned working on the show.
Fans know that Hope holds an insane amount of power, seeing that she is the hybrid daughter of an original and a werewolf — Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin).
Even when she was just a toddler, Hope has already shown a bit of her power, and now that she is five years old, more of her abilities will certainly surface in "The Originals" season 4.
These abilities are believed to be the key to saving the Mikaelsons from their predicament, with Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) still owning the upper hand in the war.
This is also what thrills Tonkin in seeing more of Hope in "The Originals" season 4. "I'm excited to see what kind of personality this little girl has," the actress told TV Line.
"Even though she hasn't been around her dad for the last five years, I think there's a lot of Klaus in her — good or bad — and I'm excited to see that in this little powerful witch," she went on to say.
Although Morgan and Montana hang out a lot on the set of "The Originals" season 4, the father and daughter characters they play will not be as close in the story.
When the new season begins, it will be five years after the events of the previous season. Klaus is still imprisoned by Marcel while Hope is with her mother, Hayley, in search of anything that will help the Mikaelson clan return to safety.
"The Originals" season 4 premieres early next year on The CW.
