Expect no brotherly love when "The Originals" season 3 premieres Oct 8. The new season opens with an episode titled "For the Next Millennium," and fans will see that the Mikaelsons' relationship has not been mended at all.

In fact, it's getting worse, with Elijah frustrated over the fact that Klaus doesn't seem to care or feel bad about cursing Hayley to live a life where she might never see baby Hope again. Klaus, however, insisted that what he did kept Hayley alive.

In a teaser for "The Originals" season 3 premiere, Freya offers to assist Elijah and Hope with seeing Hayley during the upcoming full moon, where she should be in human form. Klaus shows up and tells him that he wants to be the one to accompany them.

"But I fear my fragile ego could not endure the litany of insults Hayley has no doubt prepared," Klaus continues as he walks toward his irked brother, who then replied "Yes, I doubt that your presence isn't particularly welcomed anyway."

Before things could go off into an all-out brawl, with Elijah detesting the idea that what Klaus did was an "act of heroism" and Klaus insisting Hayley should be the one to apologize for absconding with baby Hope, Freya steps in and reminds them that they shouldn't bicker with the baby around.

The growing contempt of the brothers toward each other makes it look more impossible that they will be able to set aside the anger to team up when a new enemy arrives. It seems that the two do not even like the notion of being in the same room and it looks like it will be that way for a while.

When Zap2it asked Daniel Gillies of where his character is headed in "The Originals" season 3, he said that "there's no length [Elijah] won't go to preserve the safety of Hope and Hayley, who have almost eclipsed his loyalty to Klaus, at least for the moment."

Be sure to tune into CW for the season 3 premiere of "The Originals" at 9 p.m. ET. Alternatively, watch it online via live stream on the CW App.
