Before "The Mentalist" wraps up altogether, the police procedural television series will scotch someone. Episode 10 titled "Nothing Gold Can Stay" is said to be the last for Agent Vega, who has been heavily rumored to meet her doom in the upcoming episode. Carter Matt considers the possibility although the site frets about the fact that there is so much more to know about her.

Josie Loren, who plays as Agent Vega, is nowhere to be found in the set of "The Mentalist" as of late. The actress has been busy filming three projects, namely "Byzantium," "Brown Shag Carpet" and "White Orchids." Her absence has sparked speculations that Loren is done with "The Mentalist" and that Agent Vega has finally bitten the dust. This very incident though is likely to encroach on Jane as he grows troubled about Lisbon's wellbeing on the job.

In the promo for the episode, the FBI is seen gathered up in a memorial service of a fallen comrade who is yet to be named.

During the funeral, Jane voices out his worries to Lisbon saying, "I can't do this anymore. That could have been you in that coffin."

Will the grave danger tied up with the job finally get Jane to quit it?

The FBI is facing "a deadly group" head-on in episode 11. The robbers, who are contained in armored cars, do their utmost to get away from the police, even if it means that innocent people suffer the consequences of their detestable actions. The mentalist, of course, takes "extreme measures" just to get these bad guys behind bars.

Season 7 serves as the show's conclusion. Fans of "The Mentalist" are hoping to see the two get hitched before the long-running show draws into a close. "Nothing Gold Can Stay" will be aired on Feb. 4.
