Disney has a lot going on in its animated movie zone. The making of the follow-up of its celebrated musical fantasy-comedy film "Frozen" has been greenlit. It also looks like "Big Hero 6" is getting a sequel, and the studio is working on "Toy Story 4" as well. There is absolutely a lot more as Disney has just so many things up its huge sleeve.

One of these is the continuation of the story of "The Incredibles," who were introduced and immediately loved by moviegoers about 10 years ago. While many are still in the dark as to why the superhero family unit took a long time to assemble for a return to the big screen, it calls for revelry knowing that the dearly loved film is finally getting a follow-up.

Years ago, director Brad Bird said that in order for "The Incredibles 2" to push through, it must have a strong narrative foundation. It was also way back then when he said that he had ideas about moving forward with the story.

If reports are to be believed, "The Incredibles 2" will see Mr. and Mrs. Incredible leaving their superhero life. According to Ecumenical News, the couple will be focusing on raising Jack-Jack, who will be six years old in the movie. He was a newborn in the first film, which means that the movie took a five-year jump. Helen and Bob are leaving the crimefighting to their kids Violet and Dash, who make a perfect superhero duo due to the former's invisibility powers and the latter's speed.

It is speculated that everything goes awry when Jack-Jack turns into a rebel, one who cannot control his super-abilities of changing shapes and form unless he is in rage. While this spells trouble for the family, it will be the cue for the villain, who is said to be the first movie baddie Syndrome (marking his rise from the dead), to attack and harness the youngster's powers. This, ultimately, may prompt Helen and Bob to throw on their super-suits again.

There's still no exact release date but "The Incredibles" is set to come out summer next year.
