With such a powerful episode last week, it is hard to imagine ABC pulling out "The Good Wife" in the following weeks' schedule. Unfortunately, every network is worried about their show's ratings, especially in the month of January.
Carter Matt best explained the "mess that is January and February" in its supposed episode 13 spoilers. It explained that in these two months, there is the NFL Super Bowl on Sundays and the awards season including the Golden Globes, the Oscars, and the SAG awards. So in order to protect the networks' interest, they decide to delay the next episodes of their high-rating shows and make them return in a less busy month like March.
Of course, this doesn't sit well with the fans of "The Good Wife" who, after being treated to two great episodes this January, would have to wait longer for the next one. Carter Matt speculates that the show will return on March 1.
Hollywood Hills confirms the episode delay as well. The media site reported that due to the brief hiatus of the show, there will also be a hold up for the episode 13 spoilers which is supposed to air on Jan. 25. Hollywood Hills also said that "there's currently no title or press release for episode 13, so basically we're in the dark." And while CBS could have released a promo clip after episode 12 aired, there's still no preview trailer going around the web.
Following the last episode "The Debate," fans should be very interested to know what will happen to Alicia's standing in the candidacy race. Before the debate happened, she was down six points and seeing that she gave Frank a beating in the kitchen debate, this could've at least gave her points to catch up.
Additionally, it was also interesting to see Alicia's confidence in winning. In the scene where she was talking to Johnny, she confidently said she will win and Johnny agreed. What is up with Johnny by the way? It seems like he has growing feelings for Alicia and got heartbroken when she told him that the kiss meant nothing.
Episode 13 might pick up from where the last episode ended. Unfortunately, it will be over a month's wait before fans get their answers.
