It looks like fans will see more of Barney Ross and the gang, not only on the big screen but also on the small one. "The Expendables" will be everywhere soon as a TV series spin-off of the popular ensemble action film, which is described as a "fun action drama," is being worked on by FOX.

The title's main man Sylvester Stallone is currently in talks with the network about what the series, inspired by the film franchise, would be. The actors to play as the members of the deadly group have yet to be named, but Deadline says that "iconic" TV stars are to band together as trained and highly-skilled heroes to stop a dangerous terrorist on his tracks.

Deadline suggests the possible inclusion of Chuck Norris, who is an alumnus of the franchise, or Kiefer Sutherland from "24." The series could also do with Tom Selleck from "Magnum P.I." Meanwhile, New York Daily News reports that the spin-off is likely going for some mature action stars to lead the way. This will mark their very last routine assignment as an ensemble.

Greg Coolidge and Kirk Ward will write for the new "The Expendables" series. Shane Brennan will be the showrunner while Avi Lerner, the man who produced the trilogy, will join Stallone as executive producer. Further information about the upcoming series is expected to drop soon.

Even with a TV offshoot on the agenda, Stallone is still on the move for "The Expendables 4" and "The Expendables 5." There is also one in the works called "The Expendabelles," which will show an all-female group taking on the big missions.

The first film with Stallone, Jason Statham, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jet Li landed in theaters back in 2010 and was proved to be a blockbuster. As more sequels came in, more stars joined (or foiled the perilous missions). The most recent one titled "The Expendables 3" came out last year. It did not match that of its predecessors' performance but it still did great in the box-office. All throughout, the franchise already raked in about $750 million.
