A conflict between father and son is about to occur on the next episode of the CBS soap opera, "The Bold and the Beautiful." On the episode that is set to air on Jan. 4, father and son confront each other once again, as Liam, played by Scott Clifton, is punched by his father, Bill, portrayed by Don Diamont. Tensions run high between the two, meanwhile, Steffy plans on telling Liam everthing about the truth behind her pregnancy.

Although Liam does not know yet that his father could possibly be the biological dad of the unborn baby of Steffy, played by Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, the tensions between the father and son are high once more. When Liam brings up his issues with Bill, this pushes the father to over the edge -- leading to a punch thrown by Bill, which hits Liam square in the face, causing a severe bruise and cut near his left eye.

Naturally, Liam gets angry, and is fueled with hatred after the encounter -- which suggests that he might attempt to get even with his stronger and bigger dad. At this point in the series, Steffy is still upset at the fact that the DNA test could not determine who the real father of the unborn child is. Steffy then is approached by Katie, played by Heather Tom, who tries to sympathize and comfort her. However, it seems that the stresses are too much for Steffy to handle.

It is safe to assume that the father and son's relationship could not be repaired -- at least, not yet. Bill may be holding back due to the guilt that he feels for sleeping with Steffy, but Liam might not pull any of his punches once he decides to make his move against his father.

Events may escalate rather quickly, especially since Steffy is already planning on telling Liam the whole truth due to the inconsistent stories of her pregnancy, and finding out about the test Steffy took behind his back. Steffy will try to be forthcoming with Liam about what happened, and she will try her best to assure Liam that she loves him more than anything.

"The Bold and the Beautiful" airs weekdays at 1:30 pm EST on CBS.
