The new episode of "The Big Bang Theory" season 9, which is titled "The Perspiration Implementation," is literally "cutting-edge" and awkward on so many levels for Sheldon, who is still reeling from his breakup with Amy.

In the promo for this week's episode, Penny teases Leonard that he isn't sporty enough. Her husband tries to argue but the former makes a solid point by reminding him of how he broke his arm during a simple game of scrabble. This apparently leads him and the guys to try out a new hobby.

The gang will go fencing with Barry Kripke teaching them some moves. In the promo for this fun new "The Big Bang Theory" season 9 episode, Sheldon asks his instructor if he can "stab" one of his friends.

He corrects him that an attack in fencing is called "touch" and not "stab." Sheldon retorts it would sound weird if he used that word instead. But this "The Big Bang Theory" season 9 installment will not only see Barry correct Sheldon.

The fencing expert will also make an attempt to steal his girl after realizing they are no longer together. This, needless to say, will make the brokenhearted genius very uncomfortable. But it looks like he doesn't have to worry about being replaced yet. [Spoiler Alert!]

Reports hint that Amy will refuse to go on a date with Barry. But that doesn't mean she still has a thing for her former boyfriend. It appears that Sheldon will also take a stab at getting his dream girl back to his arms but Amy wouldn't be swayed.

Meanwhile, viewers will see the girls busy in the comic book store in "The Perspiration Implementation." Penny, Amy and Bernadette set out to help Stuart bring round female customers in the newly-established shop.

"The Big Bang Theory" season 9 episode 5 "The Perspiration Implementation," will air on Oct. 19 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
