Production for "The 100" season 4 is well underway, and executive producer Aaron Ginsburg took to Twitter to reveal some exciting details about the new season.

He tweeted out that they are currently working on "the most twisted, brutal episode" of the show yet. "Cannot wait to see this one come together," he went on to say.

There is no word what this episode will be about, but it goes to show that "The 100" season 4 will be the meanest and craziest installment of the show so far.

Meanwhile, "The 100" producer Tim Scanlan revealed that he will direct episode 7, which they will film this week, suggesting that he will be the individual at the helm of the superlative installment that Ginsburg was referring to.

The EP also teased a "scary" story pitched for "The 100" season 4. Ginsburg has also been consistent in sharing behind-the-scenes photos to help fans get by the show's hiatus.

On the other hand, he played his cards close to his chest when asked about any specific information about "The 100" season 4.

"You can expect some exciting S4 news on..." Ginsburg tweeted, blurring out the important bit of the tweet. As per reports, it could be that the trailer for the new season might find its way online soon.

"The 100" season 4 will explore the aftermath of Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and company's battle against A.L.I.E (Erica Cerra). The season will also get to see the planet face ultimate destruction in six months due to radiation.

The group must find a way to save their home, although not everyone will be up for it. The others will opt to make their final days worth it before they die with the planet.

Whoever these people end up being will take part in a special musical number in the upcoming season.

"The 100" season 4 premieres early next year on The CW.
