Spoilers keep the hype around "The 100" season 3 alive. The series won't return until next year, but thankfully, info popping here and there help fans get through the extensive months of twiddling their thumbs for new episodes.

Back in March, season 2 of the series wrapped up. The finale was brutal, which one would expect of the series. Needless to say, the theme of gruesomeness will continue in the new season. If showrunner Jason Rothenberg's teases are anything to go by, it will take the viciousness to the next level.

Rothenberg recently tweeted that someone will be drenched in blood in "The 100" season 3. "Bloody eye. Bloody hands. Bloody body. Bloody great!" the showrunner teased. He didn't give a clue which character he is referring, so fans have reasons to worry about their favorite people on the show.

A fan then responded to his tweet, not to ask who that person might be but whether or not there will be "any calm, evenly paced, relaxed episodes" in the upcoming season. Rothenberg simply told the fan that there won't be any calm episodes. About the latter two, he had nothing to say.

There are rumors, however, claiming that "The 100" season 3 will see the fall of a major character, which could explain the bloodbath. There is no concrete info about which of the gang will bite the dust, but that person is said to be a fan-favorite.

Upon this character's death though is the arrival of a new one in the form of Brenda Strong, who will play Queen Nia of the Ice Nation.

In the season 2 finale, the Grounders led by Lexa left the Sky People after a deal with Cage. Clarke killed everyone in Mount Weather and retreated to the backwoods, realizing what she'd done. In the end, it was Bellamy left to look out for the people.

Via Twitter, Rothenberg teased that Bellamy will "be recognized as the hero he is" in "The 100" season 3. In an interview with ET months back, the showrunner also hinted that Clarke "isn't going to be home" when the season commences.
