Telltale president becomes CEO, new IP development announced

 Telltale Games

Telltale Games president and co-founder Kevin Pruner will be assuming the role of CEO after his now predecessor Dan Connors steps down and becomes the studio's executive advisor. Along with the big change, Telltale Games has announced its upcoming original IP now in the works. A release date or a platform for the said IP has not been divulged yet, but Here Is The City mentioned that the developers are putting in "a lot of energy" toward the new project.

The game studio is also busy with a handful of games such as a third installment for "The Walking Dead" series, "Minecraft: Story Mode" and the "Game of Thrones" series, which Telltale Games kickstarted with "Episode One - Iron from Ice" released just about a month ago. Game Spot is a fan of the game and believes that the representation of the characters in the HBO original are spot on when they were transported to the brand new game. Add to that the excitement gamers get, not only with the idea of playing a title based on the fan-favorite series but also due to the "anxiety-inducing" gameplay.

Video Gamer added that Telltale Games is on the move for titles bound in "unannounced partnerships." Since its inception ten years ago, Telltale Games has not stopped bringing in awesome titles and pulling in loyal fans. The site also added that after developing its previous IPs such as "Poker Night at the Inventory" and "Puzzle Agent and Hector: Badge of Carnage," the studio has turned its attention to remaking game and comic book franchises into epic games.

"Each year since Telltale's 2004 birth has been more exciting than the last, and 2015 will be no exception," Pruner told Games Industry. "We're thrilled to continue our growth and bring our unique style of scripted entertainment to the next generation of digital media, and do that across thousands of different devices. Our top priority is to continue fostering an environment where the most talented and creative storytellers in the industry are working side by side with the world's biggest creative partners."
