While fans idle away the hours for the arrival of the second half of "Teen Wolf" season 5, the rumor mill works around the clock for any morsel of details about what lies ahead in Beacon Hills. Of course, in true "Teen Wolf" fashion, the return of the season will be filled with horror.

"[Season] 5b will continue with horror, but 5b will actually be a little more action," showrunner Jeff Davis told Forbes. "It will be a little bit more humor. What I like to say is we're getting our sense of humor back in 5b. It's a much more hopeful, much more optimistic show in 5b," he promised.

But apart from the release of new "Teen Wolf" season 5 episodes, it looks like fans of the long-running MTV supernatural suspense-drama can also a expect a movie inspired by the show. While this sounds like a real treat, it is not set in stone yet.

In the same Forbes interview, Davis revealed that he and series lead star Tyler Posey "always talk about doing a movie." He clarified that they have been planning a "Teen Wolf" movie but he added that they could also end up working on a romantic comedy starring Posey as the lead instead.

Meanwhile, there have been talks that "Teen Wolf" season 5 will be final season Dylan O'Brien aka Stiles will ever star in. It is being said that he will no longer appear in the succeeding seasons and that his exit will be made heroic.

Word on the street is that the "Maze Runner" actor's character will fearlessly save Lydia from the Eichen House, notwithstanding the dangers and the enemies that prowl and want him dead. It is believed that this moment will take place in a two-part special (episodes 15 and 16).

Davis teased during a chat with Hollywood Life that these episodes will be the ones to watch out for in the show's comeback. "Teen Wolf" season 5 returns on Jan. 5, 2016.
