'Teen Wolf' season 5 spoilers: More worries as Stiles and Scott's friendship threatened

"Teen Wolf" kick-started season 5's scare fest with blood-stained pavements, get-together smooches, a familiar face, and the shadow of a new baddie. The premiere episode titled "Creatures of the Night" was the beginning of a profoundly unsettling senior year for the characters.

Expectedly, fans are now at the edge of their seats to find out what happens next to Scott and his pack, who are now facing major danger.

Aside from the brooding theme, the MTV supernatural drama shows the fears of the gang as they finish high school. For one, Stiles and Scott's brotherhood, which was proven unbreakable many times in the series, is bound to meet some bumps along the already rocky (and bloody) road.

With an indestructible bond, the best pals are expected to be friends forever. But in season 5, there's fear that what has been perceived as lifelong amity is not so abiding after all. During a chat with Zap2it on set, Tyler Posey, who plays Scott, revealed where the Stiles-Scott tandem could be headed.

The actor revealed that Stiles "wants to maintain their friendship and live close to each other. Scott wants the same. He loves his buddy. They've been through everything together." However, it won't be a walk in the park, as expected.

"They get pulled apart a little bit. They have a blowout, which is going to be really fun to play. We have toyed with Scott and Stiles getting mad at each other but this is different. There may be some tears coming from some upset fans," the actor said.

But if showrunner Jeff Davis' words along the lines of "fans should be worried about everyone" are any indication, Stiles and Scott's friendship is just one of the many things fans should be concerned about.

"Fans should be worried about the pack and whether or not they can survive this season," Davis told Entertainment Weekly

He stressed that Lydia is "definitely" a bigger source of worries for fans in season 5, whose first 10 episodes are "flashbacks."

"She ends up in a very bad place by the end of the season," the EP revealed, adding that the banshee's effort to learn and master how to fight and protect herself could lead her to "different sources" and even a romance with Deputy Parrish.

"Teen Wolf" season 5 airs every Monday.
