After the winter hiatus, the "Supernatural" brothers are back and they're not wasting any time. The premiere episode is titled "The Hunter Games" and Sam and Castiel are hoping that Dean would stop hunting and killing already.

The mid-season finale was a bloodbath. Dean, infected by the Mark of Cain, lost control and killed several people. His brother Sam couldn't believe what happened and has become even more determined to cure his brother from this evil mark.

Sam and Castiel work together to find the cure, or else, Dean will continue to go down the dark path and things will get uglier.

In the trailer, Dean admits what he has become, saying, "There was a time when I was a hunter, not a stone cold killer ... you can say it, you are not wrong, I crossed the line."

This admission makes Sam and Castiel more committed to helping Dean get rid of the mark, which they believe requires "a very powerful force" for it to be removed. The gang struggles to find the cure.

The official synopsis for "The Hunter Games" reads:

The Aftermath - After the massacre at the ranch, Dean (Jensen Ackles), Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Castiel (Misha Collins) double their efforts to find a cure for the Mark of Cain but there is nothing in the lore that can help them. Desperate, Castiel comes up with an idea that Sam deems the 'single worst idea I've ever heard.' Meanwhile, Rowena (guest star Ruth Connell) continues to plot against Crowley (Mark Sheppard), and Castiel tries to mend his relationship with Claire (guest star Kathryn Love Newton) who is plotting revenge against Dean for killing her friend."

Meanwhile, in an episode dated to air Feb. 3, Carter Matt revealed that it will be a Dean-centric episode. The episode is titled "About A Boy" and there, Dean will transform into a 14-year-old version of himself.

According to the synopsis, Sam gives Dean a case to investigate and it is about people disappearing. Believing this is the job of fairies, the brothers are later surprised to discover that it is actually Hansel (from "Hansel and Gretel") who is shrinking the adults to their younger selves. Dean gets the unlucky end of the stick when he, too, suffers the wrath of Hansel.

"Supernatural" returns on Jan. 20 on The CW.
