'Supernatural' season 11 spoilers; filming to start on July 7

Is there trouble brewing with the Winchester brothers in the coming season? The CW

Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, and the rest of the cast of "Supernatural" will be back on set on July 7 for the filming of season 11, according to YVR Shoots. This is still a tentative date, and it looks like fans won't be seeing new footages at the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con on July 12.

The lead stars of the long-running series will be in the convention along with Misha Collins, Mark Sheppard and executive producer Jeremy Carver. They will be there to share details about what's in store for the Winchester brothers as the Darkness looms.

Apart from that, attendees will also be treated to a season 10 gag reel, which post-production producer Todd Aronauer is excited to present.

"We put together a great gag reel this year that is pretty funny," he told Supernatural Wiki. "It'll be something that I'm sure the fans will get a huge kick out of."

The panel will also talk about details on the "Supernatural: The Complete Tenth Season" DVD and Bluray release, which will be made available during the event. It is also hoped that the premiere date for "Supernatural" season 11 will be revealed during the event. Rumor has it that the new season will begin on Oct. 7.

Meanwhile, series producer Jim Michaels has revealed via Twitter that writers are back in session for "Supernatural" season 11 and that eight out of 23 episodes are already worked out. The team will be ready for filming very soon.

Michaels also took time to confirm that Adam's release from hell — which was raised after what transpired in the season 10 finale when Darkness was released and is now out to make everyone bad — has yet to be tackled and it may not be seen anytime soon.

"Supernatural" season 11 will premiere in fall.
