For fans who want to get an idea on what the super-villain themed movie Suicide Squad will be showing, your best bet is to try and watch the animation film, Batman: Assault on Arkham.

Though the movie brings together a group of villains of lesser known origin, the stars playing the roles of each have practically souped up the popularity of the said DC movie.

With the likes of Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto and Viola Davis in the cast, there is no question that this movie is something and DC or superhero loving fan will want to watch.

The movie kicks off with Deadshot (Will Smith) and Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) meeting by accident. Apparently Deadshot has been hired to kill a certain inmate in Arkham while Harley is there to try and free the Joker. The two collide and are eventually apprehended during the mess and then transferred to Belle Reve prison.

Both Deadshot and Harley find themselves recruited into a group called Task Force-X (better known as the Suicide Squad) whose mission is to attack an armed convoy. To ensure that Harley would cooperate, Waller have Joker transported to Belle Reve prison. Joining Deadshot and Harley will be Boomerang (played by Jai Courtney).

The mission of the three would be to intercept an armed convoy which is on its way to Lex Luthor, Superman's nemesis. The said convoy carries 'bio weaponry' which turns out to be a human life form in the Enchantress (played by Cara Delevingne).

After successfully intercepting the convoy, a young June Moon (Enchantress) is brought back to Belle Reve prison. A riot will ensue allowing Joker and other villains to make their escape.

Thus far, that is basically what fans may have to expect about the Suicide Squad. While some changes or tweaks could be made, there is no doubt that the movie is almost the same as the animation flick Batman: Assault on Arkham.

Suicide Squad will hit the movie theaters in August 5, 2016.
