It has only been a couple of days since the highly-anticipated Netflix show "Stranger Things" season 2 has been out, but fans who have already finished the series are already clamoring for a third season. Given the intricately put together plot and evolution of the show's story, it is safe to assume that the creators, Matt and Ross Duffer, already have a clear idea on how to proceed with the wildly popular show.

In a report by Inquisitr, it is stated that the Duffer brothers want to correct most fans since they are not too keen on naming each season as such. Instead, they prefer calling them by numbers, to give the feeling that they are like movies – hence, being sequels of one another. This is a notable distinction that is necessarily made by the Duffer brothers since they have successfully translated their intention in the story-telling of their successful show.

Netflix has shown so much faith towards "Stranger Things," that the main cast are all contractually obligated to do six seasons. Though season 3 and 4 have now been confirmed with a targeted 2018 release date, it is still difficult to tell if the main cast that fans have grown to love will be seeing it through until season 6. It is possible that the Duffer brothers could avert their attention towards different narratives altogether.

According to Inverse, there could possibly be a longer gap between season 2 and 3 compared to season 1 and 2. Therefore, it is safe to assume that the era could possibly experience significant changes which will be seen in season 3's cinematography. The main cast could be already in the 90s.

Furthermore, the Duffer brothers could even delve much deeper into the specifics of the other children experiments such as Eleven, played by Millie Bobby Brown, and Kali, played by Linnea Berthelsen. Even with a second season already out, there are still many unanswered questions about the experiments conducted on the children in the show.
