"Steven Universe" is known to take a break after the first flow of episodes, and season 4 is clearly no different as no new episode followed "Onion Gang" which aired on Sept. 15.

Looking at the cartoon's history, the hiatus usually takes a month and a half, which suggests that the show might be back by the end of the month with new episodes.

Fans will remember that, after the first five episodes of the third season of "Steven Universe" aired weekly up to June 2 this year, it took a break only to return on July 18.

The second season also stopped at episode 5, which aired Apr. 30 last year and returned to the small screen with the sixth episode on June 15.

That being said, "Steven Universe" season 4 could be in the middle of a one and half month hiatus. If Cartoon Network follows such pattern, Steven and the gang could be back later this month.

Needless to say, no word from the network has been released yet. Fans hope, however, that "Steven Universe" creator Rebecca Sugar will release some details during New York Comic Con (NYCC) which is happening this week.

Sugar will be there on Friday, Oct. 7, to share "a glimpse of never-before-seen footage," although it was not detailed if it comes from "Steven Universe" season 4.

She will also treat NYCC attendees with an "inside look" at the making of the show, and she will also speak about her new book, "The Answer," at the event.

"And when the Crewniverse is around, things are bound to get musical. It is an experience – we'll make sure it's a good one!" the description for her panel read.

"Steven Universe" season 4 is expected to return with "Gem Harvest," which will serve as the eighth episode of the season. As of writing, no plot details about this episode has been released.
