Despite the nature of Han Solo's death in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," fans might get to see him for the last time in "Star Wars Episode 8."

The previous film dropped a serious shocker when Han Solo (Harrison Ford) was killed by his own son, Ben Solo (Adam Driver). After making sure that the explosives inside the Starkiller Base were all set, Han decided to appear before his son and try to convince him one more time to return to them.

For a moment, Han thought that he successfully changed his son's mind, only for the unmasked Kylo Ren to pierce his father in the heart with his lightsaber, sending Han's lifeless body to the pits of nowhere.

Not long after, the Starkiller Base exploded, which suggested that Han Solo's body may be irretrievable forever. However, it does not look like that at all in "Star Wars Episode 8."

At the Star Wars Celebration, Carrie Fisher, who plays Princess turned General Leia Organa also known as the love of Han Solo's life, let it slip that "Star Wars Episode 8" will feature "Han's funeral."

This suggests that Ford will still be in the film, but only to officially bid his beloved character goodbye. This also means that the film will be a tearjerker as it practically sends off the iconic character.

But it could only get worse from there if the latest reports are to be believed. According to prolific theorist Mike Zeroh, Han won't be the only one to be sent off in "Star Wars Episode 8" but Chewbacca as well.

It might not be long before beloved Wookie joins his best friend as Zeroh speculates that Chewie will die helping Luke (Mark Hamill) defeat Kylo Ren and the Knights of Ren who invade Ahch-To, where the Jedi Master stayed Yoda-style all these years.

In "Star Wars Episode 8," Chewbacca will use all his might and give his all to defeat the villains. He will use both his piloting skills and shooting abilities during the battle.

While Zeroh's speculation is unconfirmed, Melty says that there will indeed be a battle scene set in Ahch-To seeing that they filmed much of the movie in the island of Skellig, which serves as the location for the planet. Ahch-To was even recreated in Pinewood Studios, the primary filming location for "Star Wars Episode 8."

If Zeroh's claims hit the mark, Chewbacca could be the next to go in "Star Wars Episode 8," and just like his buddy, he will die a hero as well.

"Star Wars Episode 8" will be released on Dec. 15, 2017.
