"Star Wars: Episode 8" will uncover one of the biggest mysteries raised in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens": the identity of Rey's (Daisy Ridley) parents.

This puzzle spawned tons of speculations and fan theories, but it looks like the truth will finally be revealed, with Ridley herself teasing the revelation.

During an interview with Vulture, the actress was asked if her character has a connection with Jedi master Obi-Wan Kenobi, a feat which is suggested by some "Star Wars" fanatics.

"We will see in a year... Just sit tight on that question," the actress answered, referring to the premiere of "Star Wars Episode 8" next year.

Rey's possible connection to Obi-Wan is just one of the many theories about the lineage of her character, who was revealed to be left by her family on the planet Jakku.

There are also talks about her being related to Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) from "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," which Ridley also addressed during the same interview.

She said that history-wise, the fact that Darth Vader was present at the same time as Jyn suggests "it wouldn't work."

However, she still does not discount the possibility. "I mean it could happen, especially in a galaxy far, far away," Ridley said, even suggesting that the timeline makes Jyn her character's grandmother if the speculations are correct.

There are also "Star Wars Episode 8" theories suggesting that Rey and Ben Solo, or Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), are siblings or that the scavenger turned Resistance fighter is somehow connected to Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill).

So far, the only things confirmed about Rey is that she is a Force user, and a good one at that, seeing that she has a strong grasp of it. She is also an amazing pilot.

Whoever her family is should finally be revealed when "Star Wars: Episode 8" hits the theaters on Dec. 15, 2017.
