Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet delivers a stiff competition to iPad Air 2. Sony

After making an appearance during the last Mobile World Congress (MWC 2015), the Sony Xperia Z4 tablet has yet to be released in the market.

The sleek designed tablet was originally set to be released last May but would later on be move to June 17. With June 17 practically a week away, the release date has been reportedly pushed back yet again to the end of the month, specifically June 29, according to the Sony website.

No reason was given on the seemingly continuous bump that the Sony Xperia Z4 tablet has been encountering but hopefully the move will be the last one.

Sony's continued delays have become a nuisance to interested buyers and it would not be surprising if some of that niche have already explored other tablets available in the market.

For those who are unaware of what makes the Sony Xperia Z4 tablet an interesting draw here are some of the features that supposed tablet will come with.

Among the features of the upcoming Sony Xperia Z4 tablet include a 10.1-inch display (2560x1600) which will be scratch-resistant and come with anti-fingerprint coating.

Powering it up is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor supported by 3GB of RAM. It will provide users with 32GB of storage, expandable for another 32GB and will bank on a 6,000 mAh battery for stock power. The tablet will be armed with a 8.1MP main camera while a 5MP front-facing camera will also be something it will offer. It will come with Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.

Pre-orders for the successor of the Sony Xperia Z2 is now ongoing over in Europe for about €599 or 499 GBP. Unfortunately the tablet is not yet available for pre-order in the US.

The Sony Xperia Z4 has provisions for a Bluetooth keyboard, something that will cost an additional €179.99 for customers who are available.

June 29 is about two weeks away and hopefully we don't get another announcement that the device will undergo yet another delay.
